The guy who typed the first answer is wrong. The serpent is surely not Satan. Why? Because Satan did one sin and one sin only. He is jealous of God he wanted to be a God. If then you ask why didn't Satan go to heaven if he has only one sin. My reply to that is because Satan never did something about his sin

Regarding the 2nd answer, Adam and Eve did die - spiritually. Their communion with God was broken due to their action and that is a death worse than any physical death. And this is the kind of death God was referring to when He said "Ye shall not surely die".

And about devils confessing that Christ is the Son of God, they were not lying but remember the Devil is crafty. He will use any means to thwart the plan of God. God did not purpose them to confess that Christ is the Son of God. Revealing this will destroy His plan of salvation because the ultimate sacrifice will not be offered if this was revealed in the wrong place and time. The truth of God is absolute and it's for the greater good while the Devil partially uses the truth to deceive and destroy the plan of God. So therefore any truth with evil intentions is not absolute so therefore is not truth at all.
