It is worth over three million dollars due to the rarity of the coin. Be careful not to confuse this with a standard Jefferson Presidential dollar coin, which is only worth $1.

1801 Thomas Jefferson Presidential Commemorative Medallion it is not the freindship and peace medallion also from 1801. Has Thomas Jefferson on the front and on the back the eagle. What is this coin?

These medals were included in a series of LP's narrated by Art Baker about the lives of the presidents published by Kayson Int. Ltd. Art Baker died in 1966 so the recordings must have been made before then - the medallions seem to have been struck for the purpose of being included with these "audio books", so they probably date to the mid-sixties. A search of past sales on eBay reveals that they are readily available for a few US dollars.
