swimming is a good fat burning exercise it uses alota muscles and is very low impact Wrestling or any type of martial art is a very good fat burner but can be high impact but wont cause problems with shin splints but not running will ultimately cause u to be a slower runner so if yer sport is running or running based u will have to just fight through the pain to get any better
