A secondary opinion is an opinion from a secondary source after an opinion has already been given by the primary source. The secondary opinion may agree with or be in disagreeance with the primary opinion. For example, some people may visit their doctor and not be confident with his diagnosis of their symptoms, so they visit a second doctor, describing the same symptoms from the primary diagnosis, to get a secondary opinion.
