∙ 14y agoIn technical drawing, a sectional view is the view of an object that has been sliced through, showing what goes on inside it. To show where the object cut sectional lines are drawn. These are at an angle of 45 degrees to each other and equally spaced. The usual direction is for the lines to slope to the right, however, if two surfaces are joined to each other, one set of lines will slope to the right, whilst the other slopes to the left, thus showing the fact that the two surfaces are adjacent.
