SL is better in terms of luxury. The base had most of the options(doesnt mean it has them) of an sl but for the sl they came standard. SL's usually have leather seats, moon/sun roof, power driver seat, crome rims, sometimes digital ac control, sometimes ecs or electronic controlled suspension which is pretty cool (I have it) it will stiffen the suspension a little. The engines are for the most part are identical 222hp dohc. Unless it is one of the newer models that could have the 160hp sohc. Which was only put in bases not in the sl.
Yes.
A VR-4 will do it in 5.4 seconds and the Base and SL will do it in 7.5 seconds

the 3000GT came in three models. The base model, V6 SOHC engine - front wheel drive. The SL, V6 DOHC engine - front wheel drive. And lastly, the VR4 twin turbo DOHC V6 AWD.
