Hard water content of 2+ and 3+ mineral metal ions is high. Most common hardness is result of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions in ground- or surface water.
Soft water on the other hand, contains lower levels of calcium and magnesium. Rain water is soft.
Soft Water = Heart disease, Posion and Hypertension.. Hard Water = Tasty golden goodness with added calcium for added bone win. Enjoy your following water drinking days.. just not soft water, cause you will swallow it.. and die.
Hardness in water is defined as concentration of multivalent cations.
Multivalent cations are cations (positively charged metal complexes) with a charge greater than 1+. They mainly have the charge of 2+. These cations include Ca2+ and Mg2+, but Fe2+/3+ and Mn2+ are also common 'hardness' ions.
They all are possible to be deposited (by precipitation) with carbonate, sulfate and hydroxide ions.
Hard water has natural ions dissolved in it. It keeps shampoo for forming suds, it forms soap scum, and it leaves calcium and other deposits in your Plumbing. Soft water doesn't have these ions.
Hard water has more minerals in it.
Hard water is water that has high mineral content (in contrast with "soft water")
Water is of two types i.e hard water and soft water. Soft water is the water that easily lather with soap while hard water does not lather with soap.
Pure water is a water without any impurities; soft water doesn't contain calcium and magnesium carbonates.
soft water easily lather witth soap but hard water do not.
Soft water is better solvent
To define pH you need to define the temperature you are talking about - at higher temperature, pH increases.
The foaming capacity depends on the hardness of water. Hard water does not give foams. Soft water will give foams.
Rainwater is naturally soft but can be hardened when it has picks up calcium and magnesium which are the essential minerals in hard water.
hard water can be converted to soft water by boiling, filteration etc.
Hard water has more calcium than soft water does
it is soft water
Because hard water is better than soft water for drinking
It depends on what area you live in whether your water is hard or soft, hope that helps :)
Soft water is used in all industries and for drinking; hard water can be used in agriculture.
soft water easily lather witth soap but hard water do not.
soft
Soft water is better solvent
The alkaline water is a hard water - otherwise it is soft
you boil it in boiling water
Water is a universal solvent and there are two types of water i.e hard water and soft water. Soft water is the water that easily lather with soap while hard water does not lather with soap and is also of two type i.e temporary and permanent.
