What can people do to preserve the rainforests?

Saving the rain forest must be a unified effort, even if you don't want to go out and do volunteer work for an organization there are many other ways to help. * You could not buy products you feel are wasteful to trees and the environment,

* and you can donate to organizations that wish to protect the rain forest, along with many other actions.

The care of the rain forest is very important because trees and plants create oxygen that we breath, and provides habitats and resting places for hundreds of different species of animals.

Trees are important to grow and to cut down so we can use them. BUT we are cutting trees down faster than they can grow.

For these reasons rain forests are very important to protect, and some of the reasons people don't protect them is greed, for the sake of peoples jobs, and for areas to live in. Large and small companies don't want to cut down less trees because then they'd have to drop workers (so the workers don't want to stop cutting down the rainforests eithier) and they wouldn't make as much money. Rainforests also take up a large amount of space, so building companies and people want the rain forests cut down so they can have a place to live, and houses to build. For example You know China has a huge population, as we speak their draining many of their wetlands so people have areas to live in. Event hough wetlands are a very important aspect of the water cycle.

We can do many things for saving rainforest:

1) Firstly, the most important, stop using plastic bags as the plastic bags are generally 90% of trash. If the usage of plastic bags will remain same then the space required for dumping them will be more and to fulfill this requirements the forest will be cut.

2) Increasing construction, using cars and harmful smoke of chimneys are the reason behind acid rains which cause a heavy destruction to rainforest. So we can protect them by using bicycles instead of cars ( We can use bicycles for short distance and cars for long)
