AMU stands for Atomic Mass units; the number of units an element has is called its atomic mass. The atomic mass of carbon is exactly 12, by definition.
Moles of carbon dioxide = grams/amu of carbon dioxide. Moles = 19g/44amu Moles of carbon dioxide = .432
From the formula of the compound, each molecular unit contains 2 copper atoms, 4 oxygen atoms, one carbon atom, and 2 hydrogen atoms. Multiplying each of these by its corresponding atomic mass gives 127 atomic mass units ("amu") of copper, 64 amu of oxygen, 12 amu of carbon, and 2 amu of hydrogen. Copper is clearly present in the largest percent by mass.
I am not sure seeing as I am trying to answer that verry question at the moment. However, I believe that it would be 0% because the atomic mass you see on the periodic table is accualy an avrige of cabon 12 amu and all of its isotopes. thus the likleyhood that there is accualy a carbon particle with 12.011 is unlikely. course don't quote me on that im not entierly sure. 12.0 + (4.00000... X 1.0) = 16.0, to the justified number of significant digits.
44.010 g/mol You can sum up atomic weight of 1 carbon and 2 oxygen to this figure.
The atomic mass unit (amu) of a carbon dioxide (CO2) molecule is approximately 44 amu. This is calculated by adding up the atomic masses of one carbon atom (12 amu) and two oxygen atoms (16 amu each) in the molecule.

4 Carbon atoms in one molecule of Butane, times 2 because of two molecules, time the weight of one Carbon atom, which is 12 amu's (an amu = atomic mass unit, also known as a Dalton) equals 96 amu's.
Mass of Carbon-12 = 12 amu 5times of mass of Carbon-12 atom = 5 x 12 = 60 amu So atomic mass of element X = 60 amu Rachel- www.examville.com ,tutor
In chemistry the abbreviation amu stands for atomic mass unit. It is defined as 1/12th the mass of a carbon atom.
It depends on the molecule. Carbon dioxide has a molecular mass of about 44 AMU, but most other molecules do not.
One atomic mass unit (amu)
Mass of 1 Helium atom is 4 amu and mass of 1 Carbon atom is 12 amu. So there are 10 helium atoms and 10 carbon atoms
