Chemo is given in cycles 4-6 month, radiation is given daily 5 days a week 34-38 treatments. Sometimes for a longer period of time. The treating doctor can give the best estimate.

- For Stage 0 or 1 Breast cancer, the 5-year survival rate is close to 100%.
- For Stage 2 breast cancer, the 5-year survival rate is about 93%.
- For Stage 3 breast cancer, the 5-year survival rate is about 72%.
- For Stage 4 breast cancer, the 5-year survival rate is about 22%.
Bear in mind that there are treatment options available for all stages of breast cancer and the average survival rates definitely don't tell the whole story. Things are different for each person. You should talk to your doctor about your individual situation.
