I also recommend downloading an anti-malware program. As Anti-virus programs are usually terrible at removing malware, even if they advertise they are good at it. For this I recommend downloading Malware Bytes, which have a paid and free version, alongside your chosen anti-virus program.


From personal experience, I would personally advise you to avoid McAfee. In my opinion (since one can only give their opinion to this question) I have had a lot of luck with ADWCleaner from BleepingComputer and Advanced System Care as a daily scanner. If all else fails, go with Microsoft Security Essentials.
