∙ 11y agoAbout.com's Japanese section is fantastic for all parts of Japanese, especially kanji. One of the downsides is that it's quite difficult to find information, though.
JapanesePod101 - This is a good website if you want to listen to lessons rather than read and they have free mp3 lessons daily.
Some people also recommend Rosetta Stone, but the Japanese Rosetta Stone version has many mistakes, so it's not good to start off with.

∙ 12y agoI listen to recordings of myself on my iPod to test my listening skills in japanese.
I draw pictures and write english words on flash cards and then write the japanese word on the back (in hiragana and romaji) to improve my reading and speaking skills.
And I write out japanese words in a book over and over again to improve my writing skills
