There is no easy way to lose weight quickly. Dieting is bad for your body and your mebtabolism (it slows it down) and you pick up the weight quicker than before. The best way to lose and maintain the weight is to follow a balanced diet (eat six smaller meals a day instead of 3) and exercise on a regular basis. Start slowly though otherwise your body goes into shock which can also slow down your metabolism.

one fast way of losing weight for me is doing the low/no carb diet. You can only eat complex carbohydrates such as Ryvitas, rye bread and sweet potates but you can have as many cheeses as you like as well as meat and most vegetables. One thing which isn't a Good idea to eat is fruit because it has hidden sugars which are carbohydrates. Try and aim to have about 40-50g of carbs a day and do as much exercise as possible.

A nice menu for the day would be a boiled egg for breakfast or a ryvita, for lunch an omelet with a bit of salad and for supper, chicken with sweet potato wedges. The good thing about this is that you can eat as much as you want but remember to watch for the hidden sugars! Hope it goes well for you!

With no disrespect to the above contributor, eating fewer calories is a start, but is not the complete answer. You can ingest as many calories as you can burn but it is here that the problem lies.

If you get up in the morning, have bacon and eggs for breakfast, drive to work and have a triple triple coffee on the way, microwave pasta and a chocolate donut for lunch (plus another triple triple), sit at a desk for 8 hours from which you never move except to get another triple triple, then drive home and pick up fried chicken on the way, finish dinner then sit in front of the television set to watch several hours of Ultimate Loser and insulting advertisements while munching on potato chips, you have a problem that is easily corrected.

The following is not a joke, but is also not intended for people who have a genuine physical condition that causes obesity, or for those who have a deeply entrenched psychosomatic condition that might require professional help.

If you are just your average fattie, the first step is to stop buying garbage food. If you don't buy it, you can't eat it. Don't buy crackers, potato chips, pretzels, salted anything, cookies, donuts, cakes , pies, chocolates or anything else that is considered a snack food, a confection, or a dessert. Save these for very special occassions, maybe a few times each year.

All foods that taste addictively good - you can't stop eating them (peanuts, bacon, chocolates) - taste this way because they are full of fats, sugars, and/or salt. Don't eat them.

Get off your a**. Walk to work...walk everywhere. Park a long way from the grocery store.

Stop watching television. Read a book, tend to the garden, manicure your toenails, ride your bike, do anything, but do not watch television.

Do these things everyday, 24 hours a day, and learn to love the new you.

Overeating and lack of physical conditioning causes a plethora of self-inflicted illnesses. Let's give our overburdened health care system a break and leave a bit of room for the genuinely ill.

The paleo diet is a great way to lose weight fast. Cutting out sugar and grains will almost instantly reduce swelling and bloating, but continue doing this and it will really benefit your body and keep you lean.

To lose weight, the best thing to do is eat less and move more. Consume fewer calories and eat healthy foods, such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean meats. Avoid sweets and other junk foods. Exercise regularly. This can consist of walking, running, going to the gym, participating in a sport, etc. If you choose something you enjoy, you are more likely to continue doing it.
