The redheaded cowgirl in the Toy Story trilogy is Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl, voiced by Joan Cusack. (The yodeling is voiced by Mary Kay Bergman.
Jessie was created by Peter Docter, Ash Brannon, Andrew Stanton, and John Lasseter. She first appeared in the 1999 Disney Pixars' film Toy Story 2.
In the Pixars film Monsters Inc., Jessie made a short appearance at the end; one of the toys Boo hands to Sulley.
