A robot is a virtual or mechanical artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an car engine electro-mechanical system which, by its appearance or movements, conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own.

A machine is any mechanical or electrical device that transmits or modifies energy to perform or assist in the performance of human tasks.

A machine is, for example, a car; pieces put together in the right way to make it go after the engine is turned on, with commands given such as acceleration, braking, turning, drive, park, neutral, and so forth.

A robot is programmed to do a specific task, and accomplishes this when its "master" turns it on. It can accomplish its tasks, assuming it is fully capable, without any more assistance by outside beings.

What makes a robot a robot and not just a machine?

What makes a robot is A.I.( artificial intelligence) if you have a computer on wheels it's not a robot a robot is a electronic device that can do multiple tasks, a robot that rolls isn't a robot it has to do multiple tasks like my robot shamrock 17 it is real it glides, fights, rolls, and can be switched to remote controlled or free roaming so pretty much it has to do at least two tasks.

What make a robot a robot?

A robot is anything that performs a task that is, or was, carried out by one of more people in order to accomplish some physical goal. Generally speaking, a robot is one of two things as understood and experienced by most people... 1. A robot is a machine that performs some physical task based on a program or set of instructions designed specifically for that robot to function as intended. 2. A robot is a humanesque machine designed to simulate human behavior, but without the benefits of sentience. In either case, robots are clearly an instrument of technology and its advancement, in many cases, as a part of our society. As per the core definition, it performs some task normally associated with humans, such as manual computation, assembly of parts, working in hazardous environments, or even for human companionship.

What is a sentence with the word Differentiate in it?

"He could not differentiate between the two fossils he'd found, but his anthropology prof quickly identified which was the older of the two, and what they were."

Is it correct to use Differentiate between?

Yes, but you spelled it wrong! It is spelled with a 't' not a 'c'. You can differentiate between two items. However, if there are more than two, then you must use differentiate among.Between is always for 2 things.Among is for 3 or more things.Example: I cannot differentiate between the twins. I cannot differentiate among the triplets.

What is the purpose of a Turing test?

The purpose of a Turing test is to determine a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior that is indistinguishable from that of a human. It tests whether a machine can successfully imitate a human to the extent that another human interacting with it cannot differentiate between the two.
