"Sarcastic" is saying something in a cutting, often ironic way which is intended to wound. Sarcasm is a witty way of insulting someone without using obscene language.

A good example would be when the 2,500 students who have asked variations on the question "What are some examples of an idiomatic expression and its meaning" turn in the exact same list that they have copied from the Idioms and Slang question - the teacher might sarcastically say "I see everyone has done a lot of independent research on this topic."

well saying something that means something but saying it in a way that means the opposite. like saying: "Oh yeah sure"means that yes that sure that you did that but also meaning no you didn't. Hope this helps!
