It´s about something you really like. For instance love, computer games or drugs. The moment you consume you can´t stop. But finally when it is over or goes away you feel very sad. Keats points out that there is no reason to be sad. This is the real life, you are alive so get on with it!!!

Popularly, the woman represents "love in general." So with that title Keats is saying that love has no mercy.

∙ 13y agoThere are many theories on the message of this ballad. There is no right or wrong answer. Personally I believe the poem shows the Romantic1 longing for impossible love, the need to escape and the desire for the unattainable.
1Writers of the romantic era (Romantics) commonly wrote about such things.
John Keats usually operated on many levels at a time, with one poem having multiple meanings at once.
