If it is an old fashioned single-pane sort, there will be caulking, putty, or a frame on one side that can be carefully removed, allowing you to insert another piece of glass. If it is the wood frame type, be sure to put it back together in the same order the frame sides came out, and if you haven't bent the nails , or have new tack nails it'll go real quick. If you're really feeling lucky, you can even cut the glass yourself using a glass cutter and a straight edge on a flat surface . Won't work on thick glass, though. If it is a double-pane gas filled window, it will be trickier. You can check to see if there is a removeable vinyl seal that you can peel loose, but even so, you will end up with grubby fog between the panes, provided you succeed in replacing them; so, in this case, go shopping for a good deal on a replacement for the whole window and frame. Make sure you caulk well on the exterior side(around the window frame). Also, replacement windows are getting easier to find in our recycling- aware world. There are building supply outfits that specialize in less expensive, pre-used stuff. Good luck!
