Fort Boyard, France

It was based on an almost 40-year-old recollection from the French movie "Les Aventuriers" released in 1967. The "island" structure is featured in the final scenes of that movie, and is Fort Boyard, located between the Île-d'Aix and the Île d'Oléron in the Pertuis d'Antioche straits, on the west coast of France. It has the general shape of a coliseum, and some similar internal features.
