What would you like to do?
What is the name of the old kid show on NPT Nashville Public Television that had a pirate looking for treasure with a genie The pirate would talk to the tv like he was addressing the kids watching?
This has been bothering me for years! From what I've found, it was called I-Land Treasure. This link (http://www.gearbits.com/archives/2003/11/lost_forgotten.html) is to a message board, but if you ctrl+f for "i-land," you'll find it. I'm going to assume a woman whose mother was Lady Speakwell (the woman on the TV show) would remember the name of the show.

Cartoons live on. The cartoon Speed Buggy-which had animated characteristics up to a point, like Mr. Ed, involved Dune Buggies in California and various plots. I did not know …it was on as late as the nineties but well, Cartoons have an infinite half-life.
someone told me it from the 1940s
There were two, but one was actually a movie. Clarence, the Cross-eyed Lion was the movie- later giving rise to (Daktari)- Ung Ung). The idea of alliterative titles about hand…icapped animals- not a good one, but a popular one. The other- wait a minute there were two- Linus the Lion Hearted- a cartoon with the title character the Lion King of the jungle ( I am not sure what cartoon house put out Linus- but it was not Disney- do not confuse with Peanuts character Linus- of security blanket fame.- the other was the King and Odie. Odie was a skunk who was sort of a court diplomat.- the latter show was also called King Leonardo and his short subjects ( pun intended) both were cartoons.
About 75 to 80%
If I was a girl I would watch: Victorious, Shake it up, Hannah Montana Forever, Icarly, and Wizards of Waverly Place. If I were a boy I would watch: Codename kids nextdoor, Sp…ongebob SquarePants, Teen Titans, ScoobyDoo, and Ben10.
Absolutely! If you let your kid watch a movie like "Not Another Teen Movie", your little girls will probably try to find your vibrator (which is underneath mom's bed)! And you…r little boys will get in trouble at school for fu@#ing girls up against a window!
Lowly Worm, based on The Busy World of Richard Scarry.

To Much when they should be doing homework and reading books
kids should watch TV because some of the programs are telling kids to get out and be active and make thing and the TV can inspire kids to do what they do.
The show with Lady Speakwell and Captain Lingo was I-Land Treasure, produced by Nebraska Educational TV.
