According to the July 2009 news release, the National Zoo has several new additions. Their Clouded Leopard has given birth to a little girl cub, and she wasn't the only busy mother. Another mother, named "Brandy", listed with an endangered status of "critically endangered". This Przewalski's horse gave birth to her foal during the month of July, and both are doing fine. The final new member is a Red Panda cub born to her mother named Panya, and they will be watched closely due to Panya having trouble in the past with rearing her cubs.
