Average Price For Loaf of BreadIn my area of Kentucky, bread ranges in price from around $1.60 for a generic loaf to around $3.70 for a loaf of a really good name brand, so the average cost is $2.65. That might be different from other areas because bread prices vary from one place to another.

Woolworths in Brisbane sells its cheapest bread for $1.09 a loaf, but some loaves can easily reach in excess of $5, especially if they are specialty loaves like fruit breads. Gluten-free breads can cost around $7 a loaf. A standard loaf of bread from the baker costs between about $2.00 and $3.60.
