The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon Church") does not have a pope, the Catholic Church does.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is lead by a 'president' or 'prophet'. Church members believe that he receives direct revelation from God in how to direct the members and affairs of the Church. The prophet is assisted by twelve Apostles.

None. The Pope is part of the Catholic church. The Mormons (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) have a prophet. Currently Thomas S. Monson. However, as far as I know, the Mormons and the Catholics do have common origins, as it were. The Catholics believe that Peter was the first Pope. The Mormons belive that Peter was "chief apostle of his day". If you meant, "What is the role of the prophet in the Mormon religion?" then I would have the following to say.Mormons believe that the prophet speaks to the Lord and delivers to them His word in this day. The prophet is there to lead God's church. The Mormons consider the Pope to be the leader of the Catholic faith and Father to its followers. However there the relationship stops. Though many of the Mormon leaders have met with the Pope they have absolutely no connection to its dogma. Their meetings would more than likely be to discuss world affairs, though the Mormon church takes no part in politics except Gay Marriage and Abortion. Answer: Although the adherents of the Mormon Church do not consider the Pope their leader, they recognize the importance that he holds in Christianity. Their are many similarities in the two doctrines, most importantly the belief in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost and the desire to provide service to all mankind. Mormons recognize that people of all faiths can be inspired by God to do his work on Earth.

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) do not follow the pope. Catholics follow the pope. Latter-day Saints follow Jesus Christ, whom they believe reveals His will to their Prophet.
