Photosynthesis is a system in plants for the taking of suns energy and creating food (mainly glucose). This process requires CO2 and water according to this general equation:
6CO2 + 6H2O + Energy ® C6H12O6 + 6O2
Notice here that Glucose (C6H12O6) and oxygen (O2) are products here
This differs from cellular respiration in the fact that Oxygen and Glucose are reactants and Carbon dioxide and waters are products :
C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy
You will here notice that they are essentially the reverse equations.
These are how they are similar:
Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration have nothing in common.
Cellular respiration is the opposite of Photosynthesis.
Cellular Respiration is converting glucose to usable energy.
Aerobic respiration and photosynthesis may be opposites in many ways, but there are some striking similarities. In a way, they are equal and opposite. They both have electron transport chains that help in making a chemiosmotic gradient of protons. These gradients are the driving forces in the phosphorylation of ADP to ATP at the ATP synthase. Both pathways also require an input of energy (light for photosynthesis and the stored energy in the macromolecule for aerobic respiration). Both reaction pathways also have a cycle that is constantly turning (the Calvin cycle for photosynthesis and the Kreb's cycle for aerobic respiration).
photosynthesis needs carbon dioxide for plants grow. when they grow they realse oxygen. that is what repsiration to fill the lungs. when people breathe out they release carbon dioxide.
so basically they both create what each other need
each product that they produce they both end up using the outcomeof it such as oxygen and carbon dioxide
They both involve the exchange of the gases; oxygen and carbon dioxide. They both keep a certain organism alive and full of energy.
they are both proccesses to help homeostasis
Respiration and breathing are to some extent similar to each other. For e.g, in both cases air is taken in and given out. In both the processes, oxygen is taken in and carbon dioxide is given out. Both involve the use of the lungs.
Similarities ; Both involve the movement and chemical change of gases. Difference ; Combustion is the consumption of oxygen and a carbon containing compound to form carbon dioxide. Respiration ; in the consumption of carbon dioxide to form oxygen and biomass using UV light.
what are the similarities between basketball and ring-ball
Consumers require the products of producers (e.g. oxygen, carbohydrates) and contribute the chemical elements of carbon dioxide and water, which are required for photosynthesis by producers.
what is the similarities between the ulna and the radius
The main similarities between cellular respiration and photosynthesis is that they are both processes in which a cell produces glucose or energy. Both are used in your everyday environment. One difference is that photosynthesis happens in plants and cellular respiration in both plants and animals.
the similarities between cellular respiration and photosynthesis is that they both follow the same basic pattern. The only differences are that photosynthesis gets the energy from sunlight, consumes carbondioxide, and produces oxygen, while cellular respiration consumes oxygen and water, and produces carbon dioxide and water.
the carbon dioxide emitted during respiration is used in photosynthesis
photosynthesis stores energy in complex organic molecules, while respiration releases it.
The products of photosynthesis are used in the process of cellular respiration and vice versa.
they are both proccesses to help homeostasis
That it have cell
Photosynthesis makes glucose molecules, but cellular respiration breaks them down.
Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration
Cellular respiration basically undoes photosynthesis. It releases the energy that was stored in the glucose during photosynthesis.
Autotrophs perform both respiration and photosynthesis. Heterotrophs perform only respiration
Photosynthesis makes glucose molecules, but cellular respiration breaks them down.
