What is wrong with 01 Alero that wont stay on if you take your foot off the gas and put it in gear Also it is overheating and makes a high pitch noise Already replaced the head gasket I am stumped?

you could be leaking antifreeze and that is what is causing the high pitch noise and overheating. Check the clamps on the hoses, when it gets hot and bubbles out of that, it can create a whistle.
