I really dont think you should give a puppy milk. They drink out of moms milk.
I am not really sure. It depends how old the puppy is. If the puppy is like a couple months old probably water would be best probably.
well, i am having 2 puppies and i will like to tell you that .... if he is more than 4 months old you can feed him with cow milk.. as i did <according to vet> if the puppy is more small feed them with cerelac <given to human babies>!!!!
you are suppose to give the goats milk, cows milk is hard on their stomachs
Newborn puppies should at first drink formula. It will help them to exercise and walk around. Then, you should start letting them nurse with their mother. If you got a newborn puppy from a shelter, pet store, or a friend you should always take the whole litter.
When he is very young he will drink the milk of his mother, or if he is an orphan he will most likely be fed a formula. The puppy may begin to eat different foods as he begins the weaning process. When he is completely weaned he does not rely on the mother. This is normally seen as the time the puppy can leave his mother and go to a new home. When he is older he can drink milk, but too much will give him problems.
The ordinary cows milk that you drink cannot be properly digested by the puppy and it will get sick. So don't do that.
However veterinarians and some pet stores have puppy formula, which is safe and nutritious to give to puppies.
There is puppy and kitten milk you can buy at the pet store. This is formulated especially for dogs and cats. You could also use goat's milk as this is gentler on the system.
goat milk
Another answer:By eight weeks of age, pups should be on solid food.
When puppies are nine weeks old you can actually take cows milk and mix it with sugar and salt (more sugar than salt) and the puppy will have as much nutrients as it needs!
Their is special puppy milk like kitten milk in all supermarkets in the pet aisle have a look and if you can't find it then ask someone who works there.
goat milk is best for pupils
i think any kind
dont even give puppies milk give them water there not cats Young puppies do need milk to survive but cow milk is not good for them. They need either milk re-placer made for puppies or goats milk. Cow milk is hard for them to digest and they will not do well on it. If you search the internet there are several recipes for home made milk re-placer for pups. It is challenging to bottle raise puppies but it can be done.
Dogs do not need any kind of milk, it will give them worms.
6-8 weeks
Puppies only need the moms milk and once they are weaned they won`t need any kind of milk.
When the the puppies are weaned, it means they will no longer need the mother's milk and this starts after 8 weeks.
no because the puppies still need the milk
Puppies typically transition from milk to solid food between 4-5 weeks of age. The mother's milk usually dries up between 2-4 weeks after the puppies stop nursing.
you should introduce sold foods slowly to puppies, with milk and water give them a little then once there ok with the difference from just milk give them more. they should be ok.
until they are 6 weeks old
Yes it is I started my puppy on it after 2 weeks...i bottle fed him with it
older dogs seem to tolerate milk, but for puppies cows milk is 100 percent fatal if ingested. the safest type og milk even for old dogs or puppies is goat milk.
