  • What is unique about Christians is that even when they profess to believe that the Bible is literally the word of God, and that Christ is literally the Son of God, they still won't do as it or He commands. At the same time, Christians honestly think they are the only good people in the world, so good, in fact that they can commit evil acts against the followers of other paths to God, in the name of Christ, without becoming evil themselves. Most Christians are utterly unaware of the Pagan origins and the long pre-Christian history of their beliefs and rituals. No other "believers" are so ignorant and cavalier about the tenets of their own religion - and the value of others.
  • The uniqueness about Christians is that they believe that: 1) God became human in everything but sin. Some other religions believe that their god assumed a human form (e.g. Hindus), but the god was not really human. Christianity is the only religion that believes that Jesus was God-incarnate. 2) In the Trinity: One God in three persons - not 3 gods. Christians do not pretend to understand this mystery but accept it as having been revealed by Christ. 3) That whilst other religions believe that humans can work their way to paradise (e.g. Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism) all Christian groups (whether Catholic, Baptist or Salvation Army) believe that salvation is a free gift from God, accomplished by the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ.
  • It's not that Christians are unique. The difference between being a Christian and not being one is that a Christian believes and lives the way that Christ Jesus did. What I mean is that your life changes completely, in the aspect that you read and understand the Bible, change the way you speak, and you pray for understanding, wisdom, and peace. We also believe that we never die because when God comes for his people who have believed whether you are dead or alive your will be raised with him to have eternal life in a celestial Place where you will have no more pain or suffering. Read John 3:16, and Romans 8. It will explains what is to come for the future. Also go to Christian Church that goes by what the Bible says.
  • One unique thing about Christianity is that our Savior was killed and rose from the dead and was witnessed by hundreds of people. No other religion has such a Savior.
  • Christianity in its truest form is not a religion, wherein a person reaches up to God through rituals and rules; other world religions do just that. Christ came as God incarnated as man, dying so that we may live forever with His Father. Thus, God reached down to man to have a relationship with him.
  • Like it or not, most of us feel a peace come over us during Christmas and even if for a little while we tend to slow down enough to actually help our fellow man. Coincident. I think not.
  • For those of you who are not Christian then Christmas should also be the joy of giving (to the poor) and feeling blessed for the many wonderful things we spoiled Westerners have grown accustomed too. For children it's a time of magic. Santa Claus with his red nose, his sled and reindeer and the anticipation that he'll be coming down that chimney (if you've been good) on Christmas Eve. It's about seeing your child in a Christmas play stuttering and stammering over their few lines and looking so darn cute, and the parents both sitting there with prideful looks on their faces. It's about getting together with family and friends and laughing together and enjoying everything around you. Hopefully where many of us live we get snow to top things off. Actually, Jesus was not born on Christmas Day, but some scientists believe because certain plants and herbs mentioned in the Bible Jesus was born in the Spring. Most people don't know that in most wars (not sure about the Vietnam War or the war we are in now) that Christmas Day was a day with NO war! There is a story (true) that on Christmas Day an innkeeper had German and allied soldiers from the U.S., Canada and Britain sitting across from each other eating, drinking and acting like civil human beings.
  • The only religion in whose Christ name has spilled an Ocean of blood of non-believers..
  • The sad misconception is that Christ came to start a "religion".
  • Christ came to show the world who God is and what God wants and how to actually have a relationship with God
  • It isn't about religion. Our faith is relational. No other "belief" system on the planet provides an "atonement" for our fallen state.
  • God is holy and cannot look upon sin. It really is a simple message.
  • Every other "belief" or "religion" requires that you do rituals and perform good deeds to earn the favor of God. This is untrue about Christianity.
  • As a Christian we acknowledge that we do not qualify to meet God's standards and we accept the One whom God said was acceptable to Him. Through the Living Sacrifice of His Son, He perfected our fallen nature. God had to become man so that He would understand the human condition and be able to reconcile us with a perfect God. Now through Christ we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin. This is the uniqueness of our faith, our belief. Jesus is the mediator between God and fallen man. He is the only One qualified to redeem us from our sinful and separated state. So, in essence, it's not a religion, it is about God reaching down to man FIRST and loving us so much that He would rather sacrifice His Son than to see us punished for all eternity for our filthy and unrighteous living. No other religion offers reconciliation with God.
  • Christianity, actually the Catholic Church, the original " Christian" religion, is the only one that includes prayer through a rosary. Catholics also honor Mary, the ever virgin mother of God, more than others do. I also know that when we receive the host and wine, we are the only religion that actually believe that it has become the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Many others believe it just a symbol, or just a remembrance.
  • It's all about GRACE. Every other 'religion' depends on things you DO to earn favor with God; Christ is the ONLY one who claims to offer redemption IN SPITE OF our human failings. Jesus wasn't being judgemental or exclusive when he called himself THE way, THE truth, and THE life--he was alerting us to this one chance for a fresh start, a clean slate, which was accomplished by his sacrifice. this chance cannot be found anywhere else--we have to take it or leave it.
