Screening test is immunoassay. Confirmation test is GC/MS. Confirmation tests are not done at the local level; they are performed at one of six drug testing laboratories. The Army's lab at Fort Meade, Maryland, INVENTED the GC/MS protocol. They are better at it than anyone and their techniques are unimpeachable. If you're doing drugs and your urine specimen falls into the hands of this lab, the best your lawyer can do is to try to get your discharge upgraded. They KNOW this test stands up in court.
No... I never remember them cutting my hair to tell if I was doing drugs, only the standard urinalysis.
Anything they suspect might need to be tested for. The most obvious would be THC metabolites, amphetamines, opiates and opioids, but various others might be included.
Urine, blood and hair are commonly tested for drugs.
No. They test hair for length, durability, and whether the donor followed the necessary directions in shipping their hair samples. Drugs abused or taken by the donor is an unrelated factor.
They do.
To pass a drug test is to be screened for drugs via samples of blood or urine, and result with no drugs (of illegal variety) in said samples.
no, its a standard five panel drug test. on occasion they will randomly test samples for other drugs, but it is unlikely....
Yes there is a hair test they can do and find traces of drugs up to 3 years ago depending on the length of your hair.
DNA or Drugs
Shave your hair off, and stop taking drugs.
You will take a blood and urine test (including a test for drugs). Females will be tested for pregnancy. Your blood will be tested for HIV, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, RPR, and Alcohol. There are also two different urine tests, one is the legal drug urine and the other tests for pH, blood, protein, and specific gravity.
You really can't. Hair tests are over 99% accurate and practically impossible to cheat. If you've used drugs in the last 90 days, they will find out. A standard hair test uses the last 1.5 inches of hair, which goes back about 90 days. Longer hair samples can be taken to go further back in time, but that is atypical.
The only way to reliably pass a drug test is to simply not do the drugs they are testing for.
I have a friend who went thru a nasty divorce and she regularly smoked marijuana (I suspect that she had been using meth also). She was ordered to take a hair folicle test. I remember that she had to color her hair(the same color it already was not to look suspicious) in order to break the hair folicles outer layer then she washed her hair repeatedly with dish detergent, like 20 times she said. She passed her test.
