Advil/Motrin (ibuprofen), Aleve (naproxen), and Aspirin are NSAID's (Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs) that are very effective with tooth pain. It is safe to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) and one NSAID at the same time. But if you suffer from severe tooth pain, it is best to consult a dentist. Often medications like Toradol (Ketorolac), a very powerful NSAID, and/or narcotics are prescribed for acute severe pain.
