What percent of sugar does 1 coca cola coke have?
One can of Coke Classic has approximately 40.5 g of sugar in it. Using the metric system, we find that 40.5gX(1cm^3/1gram)X(1mL/1cm^3) yields 40.5 mL. A can of Coke is 355 mL, so then we divide. (40.5/355)X100 = 11.4% sugar. So Coke is approximately 11.4% sugar.

How do different types of Coke such as Diet Coke Coca Cola Coke Zero and Coke with a twist of lime differ in affect your teeth?
Answer . the lime probably adds acid and eats your teeth a little bit quicker. The "diet" part just changes the sweetener.. coke as liittle bit sugar that can damage your teeth specially when your teeth is sensitive in sugar while coke zero is no sugar.
I'm not exactly sure. im doing a science project right now to find out this question as well. maybe this can help. (sorry, only an 8th grader here:) calcium carbonate is a main ingredient in egg shells. (similar to teeth) so, i soaked an empty egg in coke, and one in diet coke. im only on my 2nd day…, but what ive found is really surprising. the egg in the coke just turned a brownish color, but the egg in diet coke was this disgustig dark dark brown and was speckled all over. it had cracked alot! and there was also a thin membrane on the egg. yuck! im not sure why, like i said, only an 8th grader, but i hope to find out! hope this helped! mamsur73 (MORE)

The Original Coca-Cola Coca-Cola got its name from two specific ingredients, thecaffeine-containing cola nut and the coca leaf that it is enhancedwith. For years there were speculations as to whether or not Coca-Colaactually contained any cocaine in it. And yes, initially Coca-Colahad actual doses o…f cocaine as a by-product of the coca leaf, butby the early 1900's, this was banned. Today apparently, Coca-Cola uses instead of fresh leaves, "spent"leaves of coca - the leftovers of the cocaine-extraction processwith cocaine trace levels left over at a molecular level. Thecompany proclaims that it is thus using cocaine-free coca leaves. The kola (cola) nuts are both a source of flavor and caffeine forthe drink. Apart from cola nuts, the special taste of Coca Cola hascontributions from vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, and lemons, thoughthe exact formula is kept strictly secret. Hence here are the ingredients that are made public: . Carbonated water . Sugar (high fructose corn syrup) . Phosphoric acid . Caramel color . Natural flavors . Caffeine In the past Coca-Cola contained sodium benzoate, a chemical thathas been linked to asthma like effects, hyperactivity, as well asit can damage DNA and holds the potential to become carcinogenic.Coca-Cola is still phasing this chemical out in some parts of theworld. For more information on this see the article "Coca-Cola tophase out controversial chemical" from Mail Online. Due to the fact that the exact formulation of Coca-Cola is such asecret, the company only produces the "secret syrup". This is thensold to franchise partners that make it into the famous drink bymixing it with the water and sugar and then carbonating it. The classic coca-cola is said to have 160 calories per 355mL can(based on Canadian product), 42g of carbohydrates in the form ofsugars and 40mg of sodium, as well as about 34 mg of caffeine. According to an article on MSNBC.com, one teaspoon of sugar equals 4 grams and 16 calories. On a can of Coke (that I just drank,) it says there are 39 grams of sugars. 39 divided by 4 gives you 9.75 teaspoons of sugar in one can of Coke. Despite prior indications to the contrary, the original an…swer above is correct. There are 39g of sugars in a 12oz can of Coca Cola . The assertion that Coca Cola nutrition information is always expressed as an 8oz cup may have been true back in the days prior to the current "Nutrition Facts" labeling, but this is no longer the case. As a general rule, manufacturers must now use a serving size that is either a single unit (1 can = 1 serving), or easily divisable (1 bottle = 2 servings). Coke's serving size = 1 can = 12oz. Some of the confusion may be due to the marking above the Nutrition Facts label - "VERY LOW SODIUM 35mg OR LESS PER 240 mL (8 fl oz)". If you look carefully at the label, you will see that this statement is actually not contained within the Nutrition Facts at all. (MORE)

The name Coke is a nickname for Coca Cola. A long, long time ago, Coca Cola contained Cocaine in its ingredients, seriously! Cocaine wasn't always outlawed in the US, you know. In fact, over the counter medications would carry some (small) level of Cocaine in their ingredients and doctors would p…rescribe higher doses of pure Cocaine for such illnesses as fatigue. Then Cocaine was outlawed, and Coca Cola took it from its ingredients. The history should give you a hint at the names: Coca Cola and Coke for the popular soda. (MORE)

there's new coke? Yes there WAS a new Coke, but everyone that loved the original Coke, hated it, saying it was too much like Pepsi and much sweeter than the original Coke; it caused quite an uproar, so Coke brought out Coke Classic which was the original formula, and kept them both for a while, then… gradually phased the new out as it wasn't selling. I can't remember the year or years involved, but I believe it was in either the mid or late 80's. Somebody out there, correct me if I'm wrong on the date, or if you have a more specific date. (MORE)

Normally, Coca-Cola (a kosher beverage) is made with corn syrup, however the Coca-Cola which is labeled as kosher for Passover (usually with a yellow cap), which you may see in the supermarket around passover time, is made with sugar instead of corn syrup. This is because Jews do not eat any leavene…d breads or leavened foods made from grains on the holiday of Passover. Ashkenazic Jews (Jews of German decent) have an additional custom to refrain from eating certain legumes, rice and corn. Hence, you can purchase Coca-Cola made with real sugar around the holiday of Passover. (MORE)

One of the things you can do with Coke(TM) that you might not know, is use it to wash heavily stained laundry such as mechanic's coveralls. My dad was a mechanic and he would regularly pour in a can with his laundry. Granted, it's not something you'd want to use for your whites!
