In some ways yes, some main differences are... Big cats walk with their tails inbettween their legs while domestic cats have there tail in the air. You can cuddle a domestic cat but if I where you I wouldn't try that with a big cat. Big cats don't 'miow' or necesserilly 'hiss' or purr. They roar and while young make kind squeally noises to their mother. It is very difficult to teach a big cat how to behave.
