A thermometer is used to measure the temperature of hot water.
In solid form you can simply sift the dirt and lead mixture through a sieve-like tool, with the help of a little water to wash the dirt through. The lead will be too big to be washed through the tiny holes. In mineral form, where the lead is the same grain size as the dirt, you will simply have to plant lead-absorbing plants in the dirt, which will absorb the mineral lead.
Simply put, Quartz is harder.
I don't recall ever seeing a schematic for science, but your suggestion is interesting. I'd divide natural science into the life sciences (biology) and material sciences (physics). Under physics I'd place cosmology, astronomy, geology, meteorology, and chemistry. Under biology I'd put botany, ecology, medicine, paleontology, etc. There is a lot of blurring and overlap, of course, such as in biochemistry, biomechanics, astrobiology, etc. Paleontology is about as much a science of rock, minerals, nuclear physics and geologic history as it is a science of biology.
To be specific, a voltmeter is a tool used especially in science to calculate the differences of electric potential of two circuits. There are quite a few types of voltmeters and they are also quite portable which may be ideal for traveling with.
You can use a coffee filter in first than put your water in than the gravel and that is how you separate gravel and water...:) or you can get a screen like a drainer and pour all of your gravel and water in that.....:)
When you put a science tool in water it doesn't sink and in olive oil it does sink
The gold pan was used as a tool to separate the gold from the other river gravels. Gold is more dense than the gravel and will works its way down through the gravel under the right conditions. The gold pan helps provide these conditions. A miner would fill the pan with gravel and water. He or she would then agitate the material in the pan by shaking it side to side or in a circular motion. This would loosen up the gravel and allow the gold to sink to the bottom of the pan while the litter gravel was washed out of the pan by the moving water.
Heat. The water will evaporate and leave the sugar behind.
The most simple methods are decantation and filtration.
maths is not diffrent tool it is part of physics
Yes, Logic is now considered a branch of Science not of Philosophy anymore. In the old days Logic is formerly a branch of Philosophy.

science is not a tool to be used at every whim, science is the task of sharing kowledge and finding out about our world.
It is a precise measurement tool for determining how acidic (pH 0) to alkaline (pH 14) a solution of a chemical dissolved in water is.
