Bites from rabid mammals such as squirrels, possums, or dogs can also cause death. Mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and flies can carry diseases that will eventually result in death. A Great White Shark will take a limb completely off, resulting in loss of blood at a rapid rate, often resulting in death. It is the same way with Bears, Lions, Tigers, and Wolves.

∙ 7y agoPersonally, I tend to yell, and get the dog to turn loose. Then I would go clean the bite, put a clean dressing on the bite, let the dog's owner know about it, and see the doctor. Law enforcement should be notified- they can check to see if the dog has been vaccinated for rabies,
