Go slowly. There are steps towards getting a sex change. You can stop anywhere in the middle If you don't feel it is right.

Answer:Find a therapist locally who is known to have experience with gender-issues and make sure they aren't one of the kooks who think you can change. If you are transgendered, you are TG for life - nothing will change that. It is LIKE being gay; either you are or you aren't. You can choose not to do anything related to your sex/gender but you will always be TG. AnswerStart with tons and tons of research. Look up stories of people who are transitioning/have transitioned (YouTube is a great resource), pros and cons and types of hormone therapy, pros and cons and types of surgeries, laws in your country/area regarding sex/gender changes and discrimination, terminology, etc..

Start feeling out early on how your parents (if you are still a dependent) feel about sexual/gender identity issues and discrimination. This will let you know if it is safe to tell them and depend on them for support and funding later. If your parents seem amenable and accepting, consider telling them. You don't even have to be sure of anything before you tell them. It can be more like "I don't really feel comfortable being a boy, but I'm not sure that I'm a girl. I'm confused. I need to figure out my gender." Parents can help set up doctor/therapist/endocrinologist appointments and they can be your allies.

Especially if you are young enough and haven't gone through much of puberty, you might be able to take hormone blockers that halt your puberty/masculinisation, which will give you more time to figure yourself out, as well as possibly making transitioning easier later. Research hormone blockers and, if possible, bring up to your parents and regular doctor. These can be a huge help. If your parents don't want you to transition at a young age, these can hold off male puberty until you are old enough to not need parental permission.

You can experiment with dressing in "girls" clothes, see how it makes you feel. Go out as a girl, see how you like being called "miss" and "she." The usual steps in transitioning start with presenting yourself as a woman at home, then in public, then getting hormone therapy (taking estrogen). This basically induces a female puberty that results in female secondary sex characteristics (like breast and hip growth, fat redistribution, thinner skin, less muscle, etc.). Some people go on to have various surgeries, like vaginoplasty (essentially making a vagina and labia out of the penile and scrotal tissue) and facial feminisation.

Remember to take any steps slowly- many of the effects of hormones and surgeries are very very permanent. You don't need to transition to society's view of what a girl is; just try to make yourself more comfortable. If that means wearing makeup, but not taking hormones, then that's perfect. If it means getting all possible hormones and surgeries, then that's perfect too. Don't go too far because someone else wants you to, but also don't let someone else stop you if you really want (need) to transition. It's your body and you're the only one who's going to be living with it the rest of your life.

How do you get a 9th grader to like a 7th grader?

well if you are a guy, then you should be mature because girls don't like a guys that are totally immature. But if you are a girl, then I think you should just be yourself and get to know the guy well. Also if the guy doesn't give you time to get to know him, then maybe its just not meant to be.
