Go to a therapist and get a second opinion. The wife shouldn't diagnose and if you truly have this problem, then a therapist can help. If not, then a therapist can help her. Go together for at least one visit.
Blaming the victim, or partner is one of the many ways the abusive person uses to confuse the victim and/or to make it "seem" acceptable. Please read The Verbally Abusive Relationship by Patricia Evans and visit www.drirene.com for more information.
Until she is willing to realize that she is verbally abused, there is nothing you can do. She may well have most of it under control, and, there is the possibility that her mate may not be well. Sometimes medications or certain diseases such as stroke, diabetes, depression, etc., can cause people to appear abusive. You're a good person to worry about her, but don't fight her, try to learn from her and where SHE is coming from. Let her know you are there for her. You'll gain more from her this way, then by telling her how she should act on this problem. Good luck Marcy
The word for someone who thinks they are perfect is "narcissist."
Narcissist
Egotistical Narcissist
This might be a characteristic of a person who is a narcissist.
someone who thinks he is so handsome that becomes in love with himself.
Yes. A narcissist thinks only for themselves and if an oppurtunity arises where they can benefit more then helping you, they gladly will.
Why would you WANT to? If someone is that self-centered and you want to put up with it it's either a reflection of who you are or the person did a good snow-job on you at the beginning. A true narcissist? If so you can't. Narcissists like to ruin peoples lives. If you live with a true narcissist, one of you will die. If they're just someone who thinks they're usually right until they're porven wrong but is also someone who you can talk deeply to and know you can trust most of the time, it could work. If they're a true narcissist and always thinks that they're right and the whole world should listen to them and be exactly like them, then forget about them.
If the horse does not see you coming or thinks you are a different animals they will kick. Always be sure to stand well out of kicking range, and let the horse know - verbally - that you are coming. i.e. "Hi Sparky!" Mfire
I just got out of a relationship like that. He would verbally abuse me and make me feel like crap. He's not going to think he has problems when everyone else knows that he does. My boyfriend had very bad mood swings. He would tell me he loved me one day and turn around and call me a bitch the next. I say, if he's abusing you in anyway, leave him.
