Carnivals and circuses have their own subspecies of music. I assume you are talking about the calliope, which takes its name from the Greek Muse of Lyric poetry(not stricltly speaking the muse of music) the Calliope is a steam or compressed air organ and has its own reprtoire ofc tunes, many ar automatic like player pianos. a popular calliope air is(american patrol) written by Sousa.
