Yes it will, I suggest getting the Krylon brand of spray paint but any brand is fine as long as it say non-porous on the label on the back. The only downside to spray painting Duct Tape is that it will take a little longer to dry.
Any kind of paint . But as long as you dont get it on the bottom , or else it won't stick .
Yes you can, but you must prepare the surface of the tape by keying at the very least else the paint will not adhere fully. Remember also that Duct tape is not a permanent fixing
No, it flakes off when dry
Yes.
Not well.
Yes
duct tape
use duct tape!
oil based
Yes. Clean and degloss the oil based paint, apply an oil based primer, then apply the water based paint.

Because paint thinner is also oil based and water is not.
All you need is good preparations: sanding and degreasing.
You can but it wont last, you will have a bigger peeling mess.
Alkyd paint has a resin in it to help the oil in the paint dry faster, oil based paint in my opinion has a more vibrant colors, both in depth an brightness, waterbased seems to be toned down some-what. Wood paint can be either water based or oil based and even water soluble oil based. Oil based alkyd paint lately are used for things or areas that might receive abuse, and because of the slower drying time the oil based alkyd paint will show less brush marks then water based paint.
Duct tape does stick quite well to wood, but perhaps not so well to wet wood or wood covered in dust, oil or waxes, such as certain treated woods.
yes
Mineral oil is not used to remove paint. Mineral spirits is used to thin and cleanup oil based paints, however it will not affect the paint once it has dried. Remove dried oil based paint by scraping or use lacquer thinner to soften the paint so that it can be removed.
