Globally speaking, Christianity began in the 'Levant' area which today consist of Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, the island of Cyprus and Southern Turkey. Many people think of the Apostle Paul's three trips as the sole spreading of the Gospel message. Though Paul was designated as the Apostle to the Gentiles and the Book of Acts lists his three journeys and cities visited, he was not the only Apostle charged with spreading Christ's message. The reader should note that Jesus, though assigning Paul to the Gentile peoples, also ordered the other Apostles to go to the Lost 'House of Israel' which had been permanently dispersed out of their lands during the 722-718 BC Assyrian captivity. Yet, this vital message was for them specifically as promised to the 'Fathers' of the past and only now were the rest of mankind included in God's Plan of Salvation - the Gentiles:

Matthew 10:1-8New International Version (NIV) Jesus Sends Out the Twelve10 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: 'The kingdom of heaven has come near.' 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a] drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

A listing of the cities Paul visited may be found in the New King James Version, Book of Acts 13:8 (p. 1843), Acts 18:24 (p. 1855) and Acts 20:31 (p. 1859).

How many times was Lucifer mentioned in the Old Testament?

A:Lucifer is mentioned once in the Old Testament. This reference, in Isaiah chapter 14, is not to the devil but to the king of Babylon, who laid the nations low. It talks of his pomp and splendour, how he had ruled the nations in anger, and his fate after his overthrow by the king of Persia. He had compared himself to the Morning Star (and was thus derisorily called 'Lucifer' - lucem ferre, which mean "light-bearer", a name for the dawn appearance of the planet Venus) and had thought that he would ascend into heaven and sit among the stars, but was now himself persecuted. Early Christians misunderstood this text and assumed that it referred to Satan or the devil.

Where in New Testament does the Bible explain the two nations in Rebekah's womb?

The only New Testament reference to Rebekah (Rebecca) is found in Romans chapter 9, beginning with verse 10. However, perhaps it should be noted that only a Bible believer with some knowledge of the Old Testament will perceive the passage as an "explanation." It will make little or no sense to a skeptic or unbeliever.

What relevance does Naaman's story show in New and Old Testament?

Jesus understood Elisha's healing of Naaman as prefiguring that He Himself would also be sent to other nations. The point of His reference to Elijah and Elisha is that they had been sent to Gentiles, not to Israelites-a hint of His own mission.
