your body has a biological clock built into your brain so even if you went to sleep in a room with no lights you would wake up at the time you would usual y wake up, so when you start to go to sleep at day and wake at night it throws this 'clock' off balance and you will start to feel tired and your brain will not function properly it is only after about 1yr when your brain will start to get used to used to different times
Your brain always works, even when sleeping. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to breathe!
When it is day our brain and bodies know that it is time for energy to be taken in and used. When it is night our brain has something called a circadian rhythm and it knows that it is time to sleep and to regain strength and rest. This is the time for our bodies to rest and decipher what has happened throughout the day.
