There is no reason why you, as an inexperienced actor or singer, cannot do an audition. You may have great talent, despite being untrained. The college to which you apply might see something valuable in your audition that is worth developing. If you were already fully trained, you wouldn't need to go to college. Just do the audition and see what happens. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

You simply dont. You have to audition before you can become established enough that people can hear your work and think of you for a job. Even then, you still have to audition.
