These shotguns were most likely made in Belgium in the late 19th century. LPG stood for Liege Proof Gun, from the place where it was manufactured, Liege, Belgium. During this era, there was an explosion of cottage gun making industry and most gun makers did not have names. So, if an order of a thousand guns was made, the contractor would go around and distribute the order to these small time manufacturers.
