The contrast between the laws of the gods and those of mortals is the main theme of 'Antigone'. The main question therefore becomes the following: By what standard does one lead one's life in the event of conflict? Does one choose the standard of the gods or that of mortals? And what happens as a result of such a choice?

Easter, is a festival worshipping false gods. It is based on the god Astarte, god of fertility. Who ever heard of rabbits laying eggs? Yes rabbits depict fertility, as do the eggs used for Easter Holiday. This celebration was for the god of fertility - Astarte! There is one festival honoring gods that we still do today but claim it is for Jesus.
Their were many different festivals scattered around the year honoring all the gods. One of the most famous and mysterious ones was the festival of Demeter.

Poets were invited to bring the first tragedies in the fifth century BC in Greece to be performed as part of festivals honoring Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and fertility. These tragic performances were held as part of the annual City Dionysia festival in Athens. The poets would compete in the dramatic competition and present their plays to the audience.
