No one knows for sure why Amelia Earhart went missing but she went on a flight around the world and disappeared.
Amelia went missing because they could not find the small island they were to land on. Fuel was short and the radio wasn't working properly.

∙ 12y agoThere are two theres: one, Amelia Earhart and her navigator-Fred Noonan was declared missing on Friday, July 2, 1937. They were never seen again because the Japanese military took them to their headquarters-Saipan Island (Garapan) and later found out that they were spies (espionage) and executed them. Fred got executed for being violant (Alcoholism) and Amelia Earhart because she was on an espionage mission for the US government. She could only be on an espionage mission because she worked for ONI-Office of Naval Intelligence (G-2) (Now the CIA-Central Intelligence Agency).
