On September 12, 1959, the Soviet Union launched Lunik II. It was the first rocket (though not the first attempt) to impact the moon. The Soviets had launched in January 1959 but that probe missed the moon and is in solar orbit as was a US probe, Pioneer IV. The US also had a few probes that failed to reach escape velocity but ascended a tens of thousands of miles into space before falling back to earth.
rocket
It was called Apollo 11 to land on the moon first.
Apollo 11, the first mission to land on the moon in 1969 used the Saturn V rocket.
Apollo 17 which was the last rocket to land on the moon landed in December 7, 1972 at 12:33am
It was the rocket Saturn 5 that was used to land a man on the moon.

To my knowledge Australia have not launched a rocket to the moon as yet.

saturn v did not land the moon but was the luna module
the man climbed on the moon by the rocket carefully.
The rocket itself was the Saturn V. If you're referring to the first spacecraft to ORBIT the moon, that would be Apollo 8. The first spacecraft to LAND on the moon was Apollo 11's lander 'Eagle'.
The first moon landing rocket that brought humans to the moon was Apollo 11, with all the flights before like Apollo 10, including the Gemini and Mercury Projects being test flights leading up to this one. The rocket was able to successfully land Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon and bring them back.
The rocket part called the lunar module lands on the moon.
