There were many leaders in the golden age of Athens. This 'golden age' was where everything seemed to be going well between Sparta and Athens. They had just defeated the dreaded Persian Army, and had signed a treaty with Sparta to protect Greece from future Persian attacks. The win went to Athens's head and they thought they were unstoppable.

This leaded to war between Sparta and Athens, as they both wanted to lead over all of Ancient Greece. They were the two biggest super powers on Earth; war was definitely going to happen.

Athens was lead by many people in their golden age, these leaders were what helped Athens stay on top for an amount of time. They had some very foolish leaders, some who did not contribute anything to Athens, but some were very good leaders in both war and their people. I hope this helped you. thank you.

The leading Athenian during most of the golden age was Percles. I don't know if the spellingg is right.

He basicly took power after the Persians raided Athens.Even though the Greeks won the war Persians still got Athens and burned their temples and city. When he took power he was the one who came up with the IDEA of democracy even though he didn't make it. He also saw that the their temples be rebuilt, and in the process created the most-well-known temple in history, the Parthenon.

Dedicated to their patron goddes, Athena they built the temple to house a thirty- foot statue of her in her battle suit holding a six-foot high statue of Nike the goddes of victory.

Athens had an empire and Sparta led the Peloponnesian League. They clashed over Athens' attempts to dominate, Athens lost and was stripped of its empire and its Golden Age ended when it could no longer milk its empire, and Sparta led.
