Well, I am a psychoanalytical person AND a girl with a negative outlook on life, and I'd say what is wrong with a girl like that is maybe something bad happened to her once and she never fully recovered from it. It could be one single event, like an assault, or ongoing events such as abuse (in either emotional or physical form.)
Some people may naturally have a negative view on life, but this is not common. The most people who have this negative outlook are people who have lost their faith in life, in the outcome of life, and see nothing positive for their present or their future. Sometimes you cannot help people who have lost too much this way, because their viewpoint is corrupted by their own mental distress.
Most people would say avoid negative people because they will only bring you down. I say try to encourage that person to feel better about who she is before you ignore her completely and fulfill her prophesy that all life is negative and worthless crap. You only add to it when you ignore it. IF the person does not respond to your efforts, you have to leave them be, because they cannot become well unless they accept themselves and progress forward instead of clinging to a negative past or present.
A psychoanalytic perspective might suggest that a girl with a negative outlook on life could be experiencing an unconscious internal conflict or unresolved issues from her past. This negative outlook may be a result of defense mechanisms such as repression or projection, aimed at protecting the individual from facing difficult emotions or experiences. Therapy could focus on exploring these underlying issues to promote insight and psychological growth.
The opposite of psychoanalytic theory would be behaviorism, which focuses on observable behaviors rather than unconscious drives and conflicts. Behaviorism emphasizes the role of environmental stimuli in shaping behavior, in contrast to the emphasis on internal psychological processes in psychoanalytic theory.
A psychoanalytic psychologist might say that feeling intense guilt over envying a co-worker who was just promoted could be a symptom of unresolved unconscious conflicts or repressed feelings from childhood about success or achievement. They would explore the individual's past experiences and relationships to understand the underlying causes of this intense guilt and envy.
Self esteem/ego is the step that describes Judy's outlook on life.
Juan's outlook on life would likely align with the step on the Hierarchy of Needs related to self-actualization. This step focuses on realizing one's potential, seeking personal growth and fulfillment, and pursuing goals and aspirations. Juan's positive outlook and desire for personal development and fulfillment suggest that self-actualization would resonate with his perspective.
The school of thought most concerned with behavior changes that promote survival in the face of environmental pressures would be evolutionary psychology. This field focuses on how behaviors have evolved over time to help individuals adapt and survive in their environments based on natural selection.
the career outlook for a vet would be how a person likes the career and how much they like it
