I had the same codes on my 2004 escape v6. I found the exhaust cam on the front head had jumped time. There are three colored links on the chains and they must line up with the timing marks on the cam gears and crankshaft. They are on the front side of the chain toward the fender well and can be hard to spot. If you pull the valve covers and turn the motor to TDC #1 cylinder you can check the timing. (note : you may have to make several revolutions to get the colored links to line up at TDC #1 cylinder)
headlight switch is probaly your trouble
Many different things can cause a rattling noise in a Mazda tribute. Stark by checking the engine belts and all brackets for anything that could be loose and causing a rattle.
There is a known ABS issue with Mazda Tributes in that year. Do a search for Mazda Tribute recalls and it should give a description. You should be able to bring it to a dealer to have the issue addressed at no charge.
Checked power steering fluid level? May need to top it off.
Loose alternator drive belt or loose or corroded battery cables. The battery itself may also be bad.
When a fuel pump is bad the vehicle will not start. A fuel pump that is going bad may cause the vehicle to shut off while going down the road.
it could def. be the AICV which is a sensor on the right top side of the motor... very simple to fix, i had the same problem took me about 30 seconds to replace... good luck
Check your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. They go bad on Mazdas around this year, and cause sporadic dying. It can be fine for weeks, or months, then just stall out.
Your Mazda Tribute is not listed as one of the vehicles being recalled. The vehicles with the problem have a switch at the master cylinder that has power to it at all times. Fluid leaking can short out this switch and cause a fire. There was a previous recall for a similar problem and your vehicle may have been apart of that recall. If you have concerns, then contact your Mazda dealer.

Is it possible an electrical problem can cause my engine coil to burn on my Mazda 323
It could cause a low rpm misfire/stumble/die off.
