check for moisture under the dist cap and wipe it out. Try spraying a bit of WD40 inside and clean contacts with fine sandpaper or something of that nature. Is the cap cracked? Check it closely, as hairline cracks have been known to cause this sort of problem. If the car is not realtively new and has 50,000 or more miles on it, just try replacing the cap and rotor. They are usually cheap, and are usually an item of neglect by most owners. good luck your spark plug wires are probabley leaking when damp you can check this when the car is dry by spayind a mist of water on them when engine is running use an old windex sprayer or such if the wires are bad the engine will do what it does when it is raining

try checking that there is no moisture build up in the sparks as this will cause it to idle rough but drive fine. if u do find moisture try spraying some crc 556 or other lubricant in the spark cavity and check the spark plug gapping. if its still idling rough after that take it to a garage :-)
