Lets say the resistance of copper wire is 1 ohm per meter and the wire is 10 meters long then resistance of wire is 10 ohms*

If we then theoretically take the resistance of the wire at 10 ohm* and the voltage from the source at 10V then the current would be*

I=V/R 10/10 or 1A

If we shorten the wire to 9m then resistance of wire is 9 ohms

so current if V does not change would be

I=V/R 10/9 or 1.111111111111111111111A

*This is without loss or other factors

How does the perimeter of rectangle change when the length of side is decreased by 1 unit?

It depends on what side is being decreased All rectangles have perimeter 2l+2w where l is the length and w is the with if the length is decreased by 1 then the rectangle will have perimeter 2(l-1)+2w, similarly if the with is decreased by 1 then it will have perimeter 2l+2(w-1).

The length of a rectangle is 7 feet more than width if the length were decreased by 3 feet and the width were increased by 2 feet the perimeter would be 32 feet what is the length of the original re?

twelve -------------------- The original rectangle is 12 feet in length and 5 feet in width. The length (12) is 7 feet greater than the width (5 feet). Were the length decreased by 3 (12 - 3 = 9) and the width increased by 2 (5 + 2 = 7), the perimeter would be 32 feet (9 + 7 + 9 + 7 = 32).

length of the wire effects the resitance

Would thick wires tend to have the least amount of eletrical resistance?

Yes, the resistance is directly proportional to length of wire and inversely proportional Area, hence when Length of wire increases the resistance also increases and when Area increases the resistance decreases. This means a thick wire has least amount of Electrical resistance.
