1456 here's some info on the event

Clarification:

Actually, the presiding bishop at the trial of Joan in 1431 quickly threw out the allegations that Joan was a witch. She was examined and found to be a virgin and the belief at the time was that a woman could not become a witch unless she had sex with the devil. Joan was found to be a virgin, The bishop tried unsuccessfully to find that she was a heretic but Joan said not one word that was contrary to Church teaching. He then found an obscure mandate in the Old Testament forbidding women to wear men's clothing and prosecuted her on this. She was forced to sign an agreement to stop wearing the clothing of a man but was tricked into doing so. She was found guilty of being a relapsed heretic because of this and burned at the stake. An investigation 25 years after her death cleared Joan of all charges.
